Classic car enthusiasts unite: 43rd annual Street Rod Nationals roars back to Kalamazoo
KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The 43rd annual Street Rod Nationals returns to Kalamazoo this weekend.
The three-day event will feature more than 2,000 classic and custom cars from all over the country.
"Here today, I mean, it's Friday, so a lot of people are working,"Craig Meads of the National Street Rod Association said.
"Tomorrow [Saturday] will be the big day.

We should have around 1,800 cars."
According to Meads, turnout at the the nationals is "always good" when the weather is decent.
"It looks like tomorrow [Saturday] is going to be just an outstanding day for us," Meads said.
"Everyone seems to turn out, especially when the weather is good."
All the cars on display throughout the weekend will be more than 30 years old, according to organizers.
The event is also expected to feature special displays, games, contests, and more.
